Happy weekend! Hope it's a lovely one. The weather here has been quite frankly crazy lately (it's currently alternating between snowstorms and rain) so it may be an indoors weekend here, catching up on movies and reading. Enjoy your own — and hope the weather is better!

A Clear Light

Admiring this lovely Scandinavian home today, photographed by Pia Winther for Elle Decoration. No other details, though it seems to have been for a holiday issue (as there's some subtle Christmas decor here and there), but wanted to share as it's such a wonderfully peaceful space.

Located on the third floor of an apartment building dating from 1852, the beautiful Lyon, France home of interior designers Pierre Emmanuel Martin and Stéphane Garotin of Maison Hand deftly mixes 19th century architecture with modern furnishings. A Clear Light

Today I'm admiring this beautiful 1913 villa in Hellerup, with its wonderful natural light, design classics and great collection of Danish art — all set off by a palette of gentle pastels. Such a tranquil and lovely space. More here on Bolig Magasinet.

Black, White and Chic All Over

A tiny Swedish apartment that's big on style, thanks to an elegant monochromatic palette and an attention to detail (love the use of glossy black paint on the trim throughout). Such an inspiring space. More here on Entrance.

Creative Energy

Today I'm admiring the beautiful home of Sausalito-based enamel artist June Schwarcz, filled with the fantastic art and objects she and her husband Leroy accumulated over a lifetime. Now 95, June is considered one of the most important enamel artists of the 20th century, with her pieces in numerous museum collections. Inspiring woman and inspiring space.
