Simple Pleasures
I love the idea of a dining room that's also a library — and this one is pretty much perfect. Those pendant lamps are wonderful, too.

Quirky Minimalism
After years of living abroad in Berlin, London and Copenhagen, architect Karen Selmer and director Lars Torvik decided to move back to their native Norway, to set down roots and raise a family. They settled on a charmingly quirky corner apartment built in 1899, with beautiful arched windows, stucco and carved paneling — and some unusually shaped rooms. But as you can see, it all works beautifully. More here on Bo Bedre.

Atelier: Salvador Dali
Today I'm admiring this flowery surrealist portrait by Salvador Dali — a nice change from the melting clocks and fiery giraffes one tends to think of when his name comes up.
