Moments of Beauty
Love the subtle detail of white makeup applied as a frame for the face — unusual but lovely. Model Marina Borisova photographed by Vladimir Fridkes for Harper’s Bazaar Russia, June 1998.

Creative Space
On Södermalm in Stockholm, in a lovely old building dating from the 1700s, is the modern four room apartment of of Katarina Ek and her youngest daughter Moa. A low-key and graphic colour scheme of white, grey and black gives a harmonious flow to the small space, enlivened throughout with warm natural wood accents and a lovely personal collection of photography, art, books, natural objects and souvenirs collected on her travels. Perfect. More about it here on Elle Interiör Sweden.

Smitten
I'm smitten with the sweet chrome-plated Kastor pencil sharpener, designed by Rodrigo Torres for Alessi as part of their spring 2013 collection. It's also something that's particularly appealing to Canadians — the beaver is the national animal of Canada!
