Happy weekend! Hope it's a lovely one — especially for all the mums celebrating Mother's Day on Sunday. Our own mums live out of town, so we'll be keeping in touch (and pampering!) long distance. What are you up to?
The wonderful home of Danish home accessories designer Charlotte Gueniau is a perfect example of just how exhilarating pure colour can be. Charlotte herself says she can't live without colour and pattern, which she uses to give her house warmth and serenity — something she and her French husband Philippe both craved after a hectic life in Paris. Dreaming of a more peaceful place to raise their son, they returned to Denmark, where they've surrounded themselves with antique furniture, objects and fabrics — much of it brilliantly coloured, but happily and perfectly coexisting. The resulting atmosphere is serene and energetic, modern and comfortable — a perfect family home. More (in French) here at Marie Claire Maison.
