A beautiful bathroom corner to start your week. Splashing your face with water on a quiet morning would be a zen experience here.

Seaside Style

A stylish Danish house by the seaside is pretty much my ideal home, I'd have to say. Dating back to 1885, this one is a perfect blend of rustic original elements (those beams!) and clean modern details. Love. More here on Gravity Home.

Simple Pleasures

The restorative power of a hot shower or bath when sick with a cold or flu. I think I'd feel instantly better just being in a sumptuous bathroom like this one...

A Warm Patina

I've featured the lovely New York home of designer John Derian on here before, but it was such a pleasure to see new photos of his space that a revisit was definitely in order. Located in an 1850s East Village building, John's loft delicately preserves its unique ambiance — originally a garment factory specializing in shrouds, it was a sculptor's home and studio from the 1960s until John's purchase several years ago. There's even a window that overlooks a 19th century cemetery. Love the atmosphere. More here on AD España.

Simple Elegance

Designed as a retreat from city life and a busy life as an independent lawyer, the serene Paris apartment of Caroline Delaudes is all about elegant restraint, with interesting antique finds used to great effect. Lovely. More here on Interiørmagasinet.

Zen in Paris

Utterly smitten with the beautiful Paris apartment of American interior designer Elliott Barnes today — a stunning blend of elegant French style with Japanese-infused minimalism. Extraordinary. More here on AD España.

Elegantly Small

When it came to designing their own Paris apartment, architectural couple Aurélie Trémolières and Aurélien Lespinas were more concerned with making the space workable for family life than creating a showcase — they also have three children. Their home, located in a 30 year old building, caught their eye thanks to its balcony and plentiful natural light — but it isn't a large space. Thanks to clever storage solutions, though, they've made it more than workable for their family of five. More here on Marie Claire Maison.

Small and Beautiful in Paris

The light-filled Paris pied à terre of New York fashion photographer Matthew Brookes combines the look of a traditional artist's studio (those are his photos everywhere) with a New York loft. Renovated by Hugo Sauzay and Charlotte de Tonnac of Festen Agency, original details such as the exposed beams and fireplace have been carefully preserved, while the new kitchen and bathroom effortlessly blend into the rest of the space. Love. More here on Côté Maison.
