London Boho

Love the pretty bohemian London home of Vanessa and Ceki and their two children — a space that subtly reflects their cosmopolitan backgrounds (she is French-Algerian, he is Turkish) and love of traveling. So appealing. More here on Milk.

Buffet

This week's links. Enjoy.

The Labyrinth Home of Xavier Corbero
A must-see — the extraordinary home of Spanish sculptor Xavier Corbero. Some of it reminds me of the mysterious colonnades in the work of metaphysical painter Giorgio de Chirico.

What Is Scandinavian Breakfast
Domino magazine takes a look at the basics of a Scandinavian breakfast — loads of delicious inspiration to be found here.

The Illustrated Correspondence of Artists
Hyperallergic has a nice selection of illustrated artist letters from the recent book More Than Words: Illustrated Letters from the Smithsonian's Archives of American Art. These must have been wonderful to find in the mailbox.

Cool Is Where You're Not
Fun piece by style editor Luke Leitch that looks at the myths of French Girl chic, Italian style, Brooklyn cool — and his own native London.

Surreal Art By Paul Fuentes
Have a look at the playful surrealist pop art by Mexico City-based artist and designer Paul Fuentes. I especially like the hamburger that slices to reveal a chocolate cake inside.

Memorising Poetry is an Art of the Heart
Christina Patterson has a lovely piece in the Guardian about how learning the great verse of the past enriches your life, to be recalled when you're sad, joyful — or just jumping into a hot bath.

25 Brilliant Hacks To Keep Your Home Tidy Every Day
Useful tips to keep your home clean throughout the week (and your weekend mostly free from chores).

Five Minute Couscous Dinner
The perfect supper for anyone who is hungry and in a hurry, this quick and healthy recipe by executive chef Mary Nolan will have you sitting down to eat in no time.

Weekend

Happy weekend! Hope it's a lovely one. We're in for some bone-chilling cold temperatures here, so Valentine's Day will definitely be spent cosily indoors. Enjoy your own!

The Good Life

The Swedish home of interior decorator and model Malin Persson, her Italian husband Damiano and their three children is an intriguing mix of their two cultures — love how the lightness of the walls contrasts with the dark wood of the antiques. Beautiful. More here in Milk Magazine.

A Peaceful Home

Admiring this elegantly restored villa in Puglia today, the home of architect Raffaele, his wife Francesca and their children, Lorenzo and Claudia. Love its elegant lines. More here on Milk magazine.

At Home in Paris

An old shop hidden away in a courtyard of the 10th arrondissement in Paris has been transformed into the warm and welcoming home of Anne-Fleur Broudehoux, one half of the styling team Roseanna, her fashion photographer partner Thierry Lebraly and their little boy Joseph. Architect Stephanie Lizée reworked the space for family life, only preserving the century-old staircase in the heart of the house and the living room floor. Love this one. Neo Baroque in Istanbul

An inspiring glimpse inside the beautiful Istanbul apartment of architect and designer Sefer Caglar, his wife Merve and their young daughter Sefer. Located steps away from Sefer's workplace, where he is one of the founders of the design studio Autoban, their space started out as a rather dull corporate office. Conceptualized as a home with the style of an art gallery, it's a tribute to the Sefer's creativity that such a poetic space has been made out of such humble beginnings. Love this one. Amsterdam Loft

A former warehouse in the Jordaan district of Amsterdam is now the stunning loft home of contractor and interior designer Marius Havercamp, his wife Emily (creator of organic kidswear company Gray Label) and their family of four children. Love the contrast of industrial brick, glass and steel with warm bohemian antiques and vintage finds. More details here in Milk magazine.
