Azure in Amalfi

Completed in 1934, the Villa Templa Mare was built by Roman architect Giulio Barluzzi on the ruins of the 10th century Sant'Andrea del Pendolo church. Still in the same family today, this luminous summer home has retained the serenity of its religious origins. Love those stunning blue tile floors—the colour of the sea nearby. More here at AD France.

An Italian In Paris

The utterly lovely 19th century Paris townhouse of Italian Vogue editor Franca Sozzani, who sadly passed away in December shortly after these photos were taken. What an extraordinary eye she had. More here on Architectural Digest.

Form and Colour

Unlike her Paris contemporaries, antiques dealer and decorator Florence Lopez runs her business directly from her apartment, a former sculpture studio on the Rue du Dragon. No cool white-box gallery atmosphere here. Love her extraordinary eye for colour and form. More here on WSJ.

A House in the Dunes

Surrounded by endless dunes where it overlooks the sea, an old fisherman's house in Comporta, about an hour outside of Lisbon, is now a tranquil summer home thanks to interior designers Daniel Suduca and Thierry Mérillou. Inside, bright white walls set off natural fibres livened up with touches of brilliant colour. But it also retains a sense of wildness and privacy — perfect for escaping the cares of the city. Atelier: Gaia Repossi

A little change of pace today on Atelier — a visit to the beautiful Paris apartment and studio of Italian-born jewelry designer Gaia Repossi. Gaia studied painting, archeology and anthropology, and her home as well as her work bears witness to her wide ranging interests, effortlessly mixing together ancient and contemporary influences. Love this creative and stimulating space.
