A Marrakesh Oasis

Today I'm admiring the calm oasis that is the Marrakesh home of globe-trotting Belgian-born textile designer Valerie Barkowski. Lovely. More here in T magazine.

Cultured Cabin

After ten years of renting cabins for the summer in the Finnish port city of Hano, interiors editor and stylist Jonna Kivilahti and partner Riku were offered a long term rental cottage in the Inkoo archipelago, not far from where they usually stayed. They jumped at the opportunity, and now enjoy a more settled summer holiday with their family in the pretty space you see here. More here on Bo Bedre.

Sweetness and Light

Love the beautiful textural contrasts in this space, with its glossy door, chunky woven mats and plastered white walls. Sensual minimalism.

Rustic Modern in Arles

The beautiful Arles, France, weekend home of Brigitte and Thierry Benkemoun is a 17th century farmhouse, originally purchased by Brigitte's father 40 years ago. Recently renovated by the couple, the rustic modern space is a welcome escape from their busy lives in Paris. More here at Homelife.

Seaside Style

A stylish Danish house by the seaside is pretty much my ideal home, I'd have to say. Dating back to 1885, this one is a perfect blend of rustic original elements (those beams!) and clean modern details. Love. More here on Gravity Home.
