Sweetness and Light

A sunny room to wake up in. Love the contrast of the dark walls and white trim. See more of this New York townhouse here.

A Fisherman's Cottage

The fresh blues used throughout the lovely Danish home of Dorthe and Finn Topp is a subtle reference to its history — built in the 1830s, it was originally a fisherman's house. Love. More photos here on Boligliv.

A Villa in Tuscany

The Villa Vergelle in Tuscany is my idea of the perfect space to get away from it all. Located in the countryside, sheltered by pine and cypress trees, with a pool to take the edge off a hot afternoon, it's truly an idyllic retreat — and can be rented, too. Find out more here. Via Mad and Bolig.

Small and Beautiful in Paris

The light-filled Paris pied à terre of New York fashion photographer Matthew Brookes combines the look of a traditional artist's studio (those are his photos everywhere) with a New York loft. Renovated by Hugo Sauzay and Charlotte de Tonnac of Festen Agency, original details such as the exposed beams and fireplace have been carefully preserved, while the new kitchen and bathroom effortlessly blend into the rest of the space. Love. More here on Côté Maison.

Elegant Bones

Love how fashion designer Raffaele Stella Brienza transformed a labyrinthine attic in Florence into the elegant space you see here. Fantastic sense of style. More here on Bo Bedre.

Light and Lovely

Downsizing never looked so good. When Cordelia and her two young sons moved from a house to an apartment, space became a prime consideration. In Cordelia's hands, the results look effortless — lots of white, mirrors, clever storage and an artful open display of her collections of books and objects make for a stylish solution. Love. More here on Femina.
