Belgian Minimalism

Today I'm admiring the G House, a lovely three story townhouse in Brussels built in 1907 and recently restored by architect Olivier Dwek. Stunning. More here on The Cool Hunter.

Midnight Mood

To get you in the mood for Halloween, have a look at this stunning Belgian home with its fearless use of black throughout — all set against crisp white and with a sophisticated use of pattern and texture to add even more interest to the space. Modern with atmosphere.

A Belgian Paradise

Something a little different today — a tour around the stunning garden of Belgian fashion designer Dries Van Noten (with a glimpse or two indoors, too). Magical place. More here on Vogue.

A Stylish Small Hotel

Design collector and dealer Bea Mombaers is also the owner of this lovely small hotel in the small Belgian resort town of Knokke — the Bea B&B. Filled with an ever-changing collection of objects and art, it has another attraction besides being an amazingly stylish place to stay — all the items and furniture inside are for sale, too! A perfect spot to get away from it all — and do a little shopping, too. More here.

Old Into New

Discovered by chance and bought for a song, a crumbling 1930s brick house in Genk, Belgium, has been beautifully renovated by new owners Michaël Verheyden and Saartje Vereecke — both designers and both unafraid of a challenge. Love the results. More here on Dwell.
