Moving my office upstairs. I think Chris is right - the cedar blocking the window has to go. I hate to cut down a tree, but wow - how lucky am I that that is my biggest issue? Much lucky!

Monday

Hi all. I'm not online much right now, so my posts will continue to be sporadic for a bit. But I do plan to keep sharing lovely things as I come across them—like this lovely garden, the perfect spot to while away a muggy summer afternoon.

Still Here

Hi all. Sorry for the long absence—what was going to be a few days away from the blog turned into a month. It's been a strange, stressful time for all of us, and frankly it felt frivolous to post about interiors when so much is going on in the world right now. But I do think we all need beauty, too. Not  just as a way to rest and refresh our minds and senses, but as a reminder of the good that's out there when it is easy to be overwhelmed by the bad. So, hello again.

Sweetness and Light

A Victorian tannery in London, converted into a work space by JamesPlumb studio for PSLabs, a lighting brand. This looks like such a relaxed place—lots of greenery, and bringing your dog to the office is always pretty great, too. More here at Dezeen.

Sweetness and Light

This 16th century apartment in an Italian palazzo is an intriguing mix of old and new. The disco ball hanging from the centuries-old painted ceiling is a cheeky touch.
