The quiet moment after a move, when everything is in your new home and you finally have time to pause and savour your new life there.

This sublime apartment in Florence, Italy is the work of interior designer Filippo Carandini and is truly the most elegant minimalism I've seen — a subtle palette with an assured sense of space and form. Just lovely.

Today I'm once again admiring the beautifully photographed Peace collection by Berlin-based fashion label Mayer — just stunning. More here.
If you live in Ottawa and love exploring beautiful homes, then you'll definitely want to sign up for this year's Glebe House Tour. Five houses open their doors on September 21 to visitors — a perfect opportunity to admire the stunning interiors and perhaps pick up a few interior design ideas, too. Tickets are $30 in advance, $35 day of the tour, with all proceeds going towards children and youth programming at the Glebe Community Centre. A shuttle bus service will be available, and a delectable complimentary array of coffee, tea and desserts will also be served at the Community Centre after the tour, too. A perfect way to spend an afternoon while supporting a good cause. More info (and advance peeks inside this year's featured homes) here.
