Happy weekend! Hope it's a lovely one. We'll be busy again, but we do plan on catching Beasts of the Southern Wild at our local independent cinema — really looking forward to it. How about you?

Love this stunning mid-century house in Connecticut, located near Philip Johnson’s famed Glass House in New Canaan. Originally designed by architect Willis Mills and sensitively restored by architectural firm BassamFellows (who also styled the lovely interiors), it's been discreetly updated for modern life while retaining its original character. See more of this beautiful home on Design Milk here.

With its pieces and board made of spun and machined aluminum, the elegantly modern Capture chess set already looks great, but it's innovative, too — creator Orr Kislev's version allows players to capture their opponent's pieces both figuratively, and literally by stacking as they go. Find out more (and see a video of it being played) here.
