Atelier: Denise Grünstein
Today I'm admiring the flower studies of photographer Denise Grünstein — beautiful, mysterious and suffused with a darkly romantic atmosphere.

Cinema: Genuine — A Tale of a Vampire
A rare silent film by Robert Wiene, director of the classic The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, Genuine: A Tale of a Vampire dates from the same year (1920) and can perhaps best be described as an Expressionist horror fairy tale. The link takes you to a condensed 45 minute version, but it's still well worth seeing — the set design is wonderful, and the costumes (especially Genuine's) are just stunning. Watch it online for free at the Internet Archive here.
