When Chronicle Books was kind enough to offer me the opportunity to review the new book Happy Home by textile designer Jennifer Paganelli, I was intrigued. As you know, I tend to gravitate towards pale, minimalist interiors and colours, so Jennifer's book, a feast of brilliant colour and pattern, was a definite change for me. But though I expected colour, what was even lovelier was just how inspiring and cheerful this book is. Jennifer gives clear and detailed instructions on creating 21 sewing and craft projects that will transport you to sunnier climes instantly, and it's amazing what a brightly hued bag, cheery patchwork pillow or ruffly dress will do to one's mood — even more when you can take pride in having made it yourself! mmmm my favourite colour...
is the colour of light streaming through the window in the early morning. The colours of white transformed as they shine through a prism, the soft watercolour hues blotchey and soaking on paper...

This book is candy for the eye! White White and more White with various shades of Grey or Greige are my all time favorite neutrals. My go to colour for EVERYTHING has to be BLUE.
My favorite color is yellow, mostly inspired by my son (his favorite is yellow, so we've spent a lot of time with this color lately - not just fire boots, favorite motorcycle shirt and sunglasses, but also flowers, crayons, watercolor paints and matchbox cars)! Thanks for the opportunity.
My top colour has to be red - I grew up pretty much in red shoes and now I wear red coats!

My favorite color has changed over the years. When I was four, it was purple. When I was a teen it was green. When I was in college it was black(insert psychoanalysis here). Now, it's grey. A beautiful matte grey, which, surprisingly, goes well with purple, green, black and every color in between.

Too many to choose from - the more brilliant the better. Bright colors make my heart soar!! Blue is by far my favorite especially turquoise waters. I am a color junky purchasing yarns, nailpolish, paints, shoes all things possible in a bounty of colors.
