Architect Jeff Sherman, of Delson or Sherman Architects, is definitely not afraid of a challenge — in 2000 he bought a dilapidated row house in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn that was the scariest building on the block. Working on a tight budget as his own general contractor and builder, he spent the next ten years transforming a wreck into the elegantly modern home he lives in today. Read about how he did it here on Dwell.

Amazing redesign... great post!
Wow, this home is gorgeous... And how nice to hear that he spent 10 years working on it. So much of our culture is about now, fast, and the next thing. The dedication to our homes should be a lengthy, personal, and wonderful affair like this dweller models.
Doesn't that knotty pine look gorgeous against the white? Beautiful texture contrast.
what a great place, all the wood, the mixed styles... love it. Well done!
