Happy weekend! Hope it's a cosy one. The weather here is looking a bit dodgy — chilly and rainy — so we're planning a quick run to the farmer's market and then spending the rest of it indoors. How about you?
(lovely photo by Petra Bindel)
Ayse of Ayse Kozaci Jewelry recently took a few months off to travel — but now she's home and has reopened her lovely online shop! Here you'll find her beautiful one of a kind pieces, such as the stunning Huge Heart Ring, made from hand sawed and fabricated sterling silver heart with coral. This would be a fantastic statement piece for any outfit — and its clean modern lines make it an instant classic.
Good news! Small Equals, owner Liza's brand new shop in Burlington Vermont, has an online version, too. Here you'll find the fantastic smaller items that Liza sells, such as her wonderful Keepsake Card Kits, like the one shown here, which features a card made by Liza, Seed Bombs by VisuaLIngual (wildflower seeds in compost and clay, packed inside a hand made silk screened pouch) and one small plastic box by AMAC — all packed inside a Vermont-made wooden box with slide top, making it perfect for gift giving.
Thelma's the belle prints shop offers both originals and prints of her wonderfully atmospheric mixed media work, created with bee wax, collage, pencil, oil paint and encaustic gesso. Shown here is Las Raices de Frida - Frida's Roots, which is available as a print — and would make a charming addition to your (or a friend's) art collection!
Uh oh. This fun photo of Marilyn Monroe is from Marilyn: August 1953, a new book featuring over 100 rare and previously unpublished photos of a trip Marilyn took with Joe DiMaggio to Banff, Alberta in 1953. See more photos from the book here.
