







The great Russian film director
Andrei Tarkovsky, best known here for his films
Andrei Rublev,
Solaris (remade several years ago in the US with George Clooney),
The Mirror, and
Stalker, was also interested in Polaroid photography. These photos, taken in the late 1970s at home and in Italy, demonstrate what a great eye he had, even when using a simple (and frequently unpredictable) camera such as the Polaroid. Beautiful.
