Donna Karan at Home
Set in an Art Deco building in the heart of the Upper West Side with stunning views of Central Park is the beautiful New York apartment of designer Donna Karan. Minimalist in approach, her space allows the striking artwork and sculptural furniture room to breathe and be fully appreciated — these are rooms for contemplation as much as they are for socializing. Louise Bourgeois
The Guggenheim has a nice online exhibition from the 2008 retrospective of the great artist Louise Bourgeois, who passed away yesterday at the age of 98, working until the very end. She's shown here in Italy in 1967, contemplating her piece Germinal. What an amazing life she had.
