Happy weekend! Hope it's a lovely and relaxing one. Our last (holiday) weekend was a busy one, so we're looking forward to just chilling out this time around — with a Sunday stroll over to the farmer's market to see what's in season for supper. How about you?

Designers Marianne Brandi and husband Keld Mikkelsen of interiors label Day Birger et Mikkelsen decided that, rather than buy a house, they'd rent an apartment in central Copenhagen instead while their 18-year-old daughter Amelia finishes school. Since they rent and can't renovate their space, they went with a strong palette of blue and grey, offset with modern art on the walls. Marianne's collection of textiles adds colour to her office as well as the rest of their home, along with their other collections of artefacts, photographs and the artwork, too — all going to show that being limited by your physical space doesn't mean you must limit your imagination, too. If you (or a small person you know) have a habit of nibbling while you draw, here's something you might be interested in — edible crayons! Made of ingredients such as nuts, seeds, dried fruits and vegetables, bee pollen and marshmallows, they're definitely a more appealing alternative to the traditional waxy crayon. More here.
