Happy weekend — and a very happy long weekend to those who celebrate Easter! Hope it's fun, relaxing and a good one. Ours is shaping up to be alternatively busy and chilled out — and what's even nicer, with amazingly warm and sunny spring weather, too. How about you?

Architect Denis Valode took a classic Left Bank apartment in Paris and modernized it, while carefully leaving untouched such traditional elements as the marble fireplace and ceiling molding. The result is a relaxed and friendly family home that retains the grace notes of a more formal time. More photos here. Via Elle Deco.

Lovely Kate of the blog the fabric of my life is a London-based interiors stylist whose work has appeared in Elle Decoration, Living etc, Wallpaper*, Ideal Home and House & Garden. Kate describes her wonderful blog as "a magpie’s nest" where she can hoard her favourite inspirational finds and develop her look as a stylist. Happily for us we can be inspired in turn by visiting the fabric of my life — and share Kate's pleasure in her wonderful finds at auctions, car boot sales and charity shops! (photo by Simon Filip)

Tina's lovely blog Luphia loves ... is not just amazingly pretty, but truly inspiring, too — besides posting about great art and design, Tina's particularly strong on fashion, sharing a wonderful sense of style that's both feminine and modern. I love her Vintage Fridays section, where she regularly features great examples of how to wear vintage fashion. Be sure to drop by for a visit to see what's new at Luphia loves ... !
