Something Is Happening

Amsterdam-based photographer Erwin Olaf’s images depict an imaginary life in the 1950s and ’60s — what's particularly fascinating is how these photos transcend the medium, becoming scenes from lives in progress rather than simply still images. Looking at these, I'd describe them as Mad Men meets David Lynch. See more from the series here. Olaf’s collections “Dusk” and “Dawn” are on display at Hasted Hunt Kraeutler through March 20, 2010.
