Fruit in season. The berries are beginning to finish up — now I'm looking forward to pears, one of my faves.

Love all varieties. I always think of the line in a poem "...the pears fatten like little buddhas..."
Looking forward to pear haul this weekend if Hurricane Earl would be so gracious as to leave us alone. Unlikely. Ugh. Enough with the weather this summer.
