Louise Bourgeois

The Guggenheim has a nice online exhibition from the 2008 retrospective of the great artist Louise Bourgeois, who passed away yesterday at the age of 98, working until the very end. She's shown here in Italy in 1967, contemplating her piece Germinal. What an amazing life she had.

She certainly did have an amazing life. I remember being intrigued by her when I was in junior high school...she was so "her." Thanks for the link...I only have today's NYTimes hard copy (which has an interesting obituary, actually).

Cheers, Lori.
