Italian architect Fuksas Massimilano and his wife Doriana have created a modernist apartment for themselves that has a wonderful atmosphere. Located on the Place des Vosges in Paris, the space fortunately did not require major work — Fuksas removed a few walls and added steel beams to support the upper floors, which open it up even more and adds a touch of industrial style. Doriana, a collector of furniture by Jean ProuvĂ©, was in charge of the interiors, filling it with furniture by Charlotte Perriand, Le Corbusier, Alvar Aalto or Noguchi. Mingling styles and centuries, their home has a comfortable lightness to it that's really appealing. More here (in French) at Marie Claire Maison.
