A Collection A Day

Have you been following artist/illustrator Lisa Congdon's wonderful year-long project A Collection A Day? Every day, for exactly one year (Jan 1 2010 — Dec 31 2010), Lisa is photographing, drawing and/or painting a collection — the photos are of the collections that exist in Lisa's home or studio, while the drawn and painted images are of imagined collections. I'm a huge admirer of this — such a creative and lovely idea. I've picked a few of my faves for you to get an idea of what she's doing — you can see each day so far (and follow it on the blog Lisa has created especially for it) here.

What a great idea, and a real challenge to keep going for a year! It's amazing what we collect without realising it.

I love this too. Simple. Creative. Artistic.
Finding beauty in random places is always a wonderful thing.

One of the most creative ideas out there in the blogosphere! She tweeted the other day that Martha Stewart contacted her, wonder if it's about this!

That is so cool, Erin! I hope that something great comes out of her exchange with Martha!
