Charles Keeping

These extraordinarily vibrant and colourful illustrations are from the children's book Charley, Charlotte and the Golden Canary, by Charles Keeping, published in 1967. Just gorgeous. Discovered on the Flickr site of Tiny Tin (aka Christine Copland). Via Pikaland.

I wish I can go get my hands on a picture book with amazing illustrations just like this.

Wonderful illustrations, very evocative of days spent playing with my daughter's paints.

Illustrated childrens books are my favorites. I love the colors used on these pages and that it looks like crayon.
