Welcome to this week's links. Enjoy.

The Top 100 Books of All Time

Another best books list, but what I like about this one is that it includes books from all over the world, rather than being narrowly focused on Europe and North America. Excellent reading every one.

Things To Do at the Victoria and Albert Museum
If you can't manage a visit there in person, the V&A website has lots of interesting things to do — for example, you can play games, design a Renaissance room, make your own couture dress or jumping jacks, download a Tudor screensaver, take art quizzes, share memories and ideas and more. Fun stuff.

25 Random Things About Graphic Design
Blogger Tishon's version of the 25 random things meme that's currently circulating around Facebook.

Yes, They Could. So They Did.
Inspiring NYT article by Thomas L. Friedman about how Caroline Howe, a mechanical engineer on leave from the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies, and Alexis Ringwald, a Fulbright scholar in India and now a solar entrepreneur, joined with Kartikeya Singh, who was starting the Indian Youth Climate Network, or IYCN, to connect young climate leaders in India, a country coming under increasing global pressure to manage its carbon footprint. To get the message out they persuaded the CEO of India’s Reva Electric Car Company to donate three of his cars, which they modified before embarking on a 2,100 mile trip from Chennai to New Delhi, stopping in 15 cities and dozens of villages, where they trained Indian students to start their own climate action programs as well as filming 20 videos of India’s top home-grown energy innovations. So exciting to see people just getting out there and doing what needs to be done.

LoftLife: Traditional Meets Modern
Have a look here at the gorgeous loft of interior designer Andrew Flesher. Wow.

A Brief History of the Jetpack
A fun little illustrated history of the jetpack, including of course the one worn by James Bond in the 1965 movie Thunderball.

Main Street Postcards as Muse
Fascinating article about a new exhibit on at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, which examines how the work of legendary photographer Walker Evans was influenced by his extensive collection of postcards. Sounds like a great show.

The Small Stakes
Poster design shop The Small Stakes has some lovely new designs that are well worth a look. Beautiful and imaginative work. Via Black Eiffel.

Domino Archive: Quirky Kitchens

A sampling of kitchens with lots of personality, via Domino's archives. I think I might be doing some spring decorating in my own kitchen soon ...
