I had a window seat growing up in my parents' home and LOVED it. I swear it's where I first fell in love with reading - though my parents might say talking on the phone. Hmmm...
Oh, I have always loved little window seats. I had a window nook when I was 12, for a very short while we lived in a huge house. There were bay windows in my room and it was gorgeous. Thank you so much for this post and bringing back those memories. I love that in some of these pictures, people have figured out how to make a normal window into it's own little seating area. Beautiful pictures. ♥
Sigh...I loved Domino. But the good news is that some people with ties to Domino got together and created Lonny magazine - and it's great! Check out www.lonnymag.com.
By day (or, depending on the deadline, by night) I'm a Canadian collage illustrator. Since 2006, the automatism blog is where I share whatever I find inspiring, interesting, or simply beautiful in interiors, design, art, illustration and other creative fields.

I do think I feel my heart yearning for a window seat. I'm especially fond of those kitchen seats. So charming.
I love a cozy window seat. Meanwhile, these photos make me miss Domino. If I could revive one magazine, it would be Domino!
Tears for Domino, I still haven't found a proper print replacement, any suggestions??
