Comfort food — what we eat when under the weather, tired or feeling blue. What are your comfort foods?

Oh! It's so comforting to think about comfort foods! :-) Hmm I love a good risotto for comfort, a lovely slice of carrot cake with delicious cream cheese icing and biting into a really crunching apple... all washed down with a big mug of hot black/green tea!

What are your comfort foods? Cool pic btw!

Something starchy - baked potato or pasta.

you hit the nail right on the head with that photo, i'm inhaling a sesame bagle right now with peanut butter. but cheese and bread, those two things i'd need on a deserted island. for sure. i could live forever on bread and cheese, and maybe a glass of red wine here and there :)

I just posted about this! Over the weekend I was sick and indulged in homemade Thai food, chocolate chip cookies, and homemade pizza. Cured me for sure!

My mom's chili. I always eat at least 3-4 bowls. Per sitting.

A perfect grilled cheese sandwich with sharp cheddar. Buttery and toasted on the outside, gooey and delicious in the middle.

I love winter/fall foods like soups and stews with warm bread but when I'm having a bad day, sushi is what makes it much more bearable.
