After a tumultuous semester, a few friends and I headed out to the Adirondacks for a 3-day, 2-night canoeing/camping trip (that being my first of either). Out of all the photos we took, this one reminds me most of the pressure the water had on us; after day-long treks, that feeling stays with you as you sleep. At this moment, we had already canoed for about a day and a half, and had just finished lunch—smoked salmon, which we ate on a rock in the middle of a lake. Not only were we blessed with good weather, but I also managed not to capsize—dirty yes, but dry.

Gorgeous! I love canoeing!
What a beautiful picture! I've never been canoeing but I would love to try :)
What a great picture! I love the description that goes along with it as well. It sounds like a fun trip! :)
How fun! I've just been talking about going canoeing! There is sort of romance to it I think, especially when you just rock in the middle of lake!
Totally. And I think camping is the best way to get to know someone--you've got nothing else, and you HAVE to work together.
Thanks again for including me in this great feature, Lori! It was fun to put it together and reminisce.
