what a sweet thing to do!
I remember playing host with my plastic cups, plates and pots when I was a little girl~ they are not fancy or expensive, but they are what I remember from my childhood.
I didn't have a lot of toys during my childhood. Whatever i had, it was pass-me-downs.I played mostly with dried leaves and grass but thoroughly enjoyed it. My favourite item has to be my security pillow and if I remember correctly, it's still sitting in my old room back at my parents' house.
Oh, yey! I had a bear (not really a toy) and I still have him. Though he came in gingham overalls, I made clothes for him, on the sewing machine, that he still wears! A lovely white denim vest and short set with big black buttons. I took him, among other places, to my first sleep away camp when I was 8 years old. I was SO homesick that he not only had to sleep with me, but he had to be right in front of my face whenever I was in that sleeping bag. And I didn't leave that sleeping bag for the first week of my three week stay. He was always a great friend. Even after our dog chewed off his eyes and my mother sewed new buttons in their place. I need to go get him out of his box...
Awww I love Stitchface!! I remember I had a little brown teddy as a child, I took it everywhere.. if I saw it again now I would probably wonder why he was my best friend back then. I don't think he was the cutest of teds. :)
Oh cuteness... I only recently discovered Stitchface's stuff. My fav childhood toy is a rather dapper rabbit that I've had since the day I was born – he is rather imaginatively named 'Rabbit'! ;)
Oh! He's cute!! My favorite toy was a blue and white stuffed dog named Rover. My dad got him for me for Christmas when I was 4 or 5. He made up an elaborate story about how Rover jumped into his shopping cart at Gimbels, and he just had to bring him home. I, of course as a future retail expert, did a quick fact check and busted Daddy on the fact that Gimbels didn't have shopping carts. LOL. Nevertheless, Rover became my constant companion. He's now threadbare from years of hard lovin', but he still lives with me, some 35 years later!
My favorite toy was a large Raggedy Ann doll I had from the time I was 2 (I actually wore the dolls dress as my Halloween costume then) til our dog destroyed it after the family took a trip to the movies to see Super Girl. I would never remember seeing that movie if it didn't trigger memories of seeing Raggedy Ann's insides all over our house. :(
I never really had a favorite stuffed doll/animal when I was a kid, but funnily enough, I have one now! I spent much of my senior year of college in England studying and made some amazing friends there. I was very sad to leave so a friend gave me this stuffed lion that I spotted in the back of her closet as something to remember her by. I felt a little silly carrying it on the plane as a 21 year old, but I absolutely love it and it holds all of my memories in one squishy place!
My fave was my stuffed Snuggle bear (the silly fabric softener bear) - my grandma saved UPCs or whatever and got him for me! I would sleep with him every night until tragedy struck - we had a dog named Pepper and when he was a puppy Snuggle (i called him Stuggi for some reason) fell off the bed and Pepper proceeded to try to do the nasty with him. After that I did not feel right sleeping with Stuggi...
My teddy bear Gummo. He's just a little brown bear that I received at my baby shower but I love him to death! He actually still holds current residence in my bed! He's definetly not as shiny and new as he used to be, he's lost his red ribbon and his nose has been scratched off, he looks pretty ragged and worn out! Whenever I go somewhere I always pack him in my suitcase, I usually don't take him out of the suitcase but I know hes there if I do need him!

Digger the Dog popped into my head for some reason. I did always love the way his feet moved up and down as the wheels rotated. Do you remember this toy?
My favorite was a teddy bear named Chocolate. He was a gift that my mom received before I was born, but I still have him (which makes him 35+ years old)! His fur has worn away in places, but the music box inside of him still plays beautifully.
adorable :)
oops, forgot the contact info
When I was younger, I had a row of daffodils that my parents let me grow in our front lawn. My favorite toy was a McDonald's Happy Meal giveaway. It was green watering can that held about a cup of water. For twelve daffodil plants I would have to run into the house three times to refill the can.
So today, though I've relocated up and down the coast of California, the sight of blooming daffodils always make me smile.

Oh my, this toy's expression reminds me of my childhood lamb. Like another reader, I too loved her till her fur fell out.

OMG, that is too cute! I'd love to put him in the nursery I'm decorating for my new baby!
My favourite toy as a kid was a dog my mum sewed for me. I played with it so much the legs fell off, again and again... And sometimes the ears and tail too. :)
He is very cute! When I was a little girl my favorite toy was a snoopy my uncle gave me. I used to get so upset when he "hid" that my mum tied him to a ribbon and put him round my neck!
Stitchface's toys are all so huggable, so lovable and so unforgettable - what a lovely delight to win this wonderful giveaway!
