So I saw the Kees Van Dongen show at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts on Saturday, and it was fascinating! So many works I've never seen before, and seeing how his painting developed over the course of his (extraordinarily long) career was great, too. Have a look here for links to galleries and museums with his work, and here for an outline of his life. Shown here is Van Dongen's 1906 painting Dancers — Revel and Coco.

i didn't realize you were in montreal, too (hello!). i'm definitely going to have to try to see this exhibit. thank you for posting this.
Actually I was just visiting Montreal for the day to see the Van Dongen show — which, I'm afraid, closed on Sunday, April 19 (we saw it on Saturday, the day before it was gone). But do follow the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts link to see highlights from it!
