Jane's talk of layering the other day inspired me to go and see what Yohji Yamamoto is doing for spring this year — these are the some of the looks I particularly liked from his sporty Spring 2009 Y-3 collection. I like these. Hardly ever actually look at runway fashion because I don't see it having much practical application where and how I live, but you're right...I can see myself picking out some of these pieces. The black and white and minimal colors really work.
I like the waistcoat in the bottom image a lot!
