Simple Pleasures

Music. It flows through our lives and celebrates, amuses, uplifts, consoles, inspires, relaxes, energizes and ultimately embraces us — an art form so fundamental to human nature that life would simply be unimaginable without it.

The beautiful painting by Louis Silvestre (1675-1760) is titled An Allegory of Hearing. Via the wonderful Femme Femme Femme blog.

Lori, your blog is absolutely lovely. I'm adding it to my blogroll.

Do you find that Canadians don't seem to blog much?

You're so welcome, Susan — enjoy!

Clever Pup — thanks for your kind words! You might want to have a look at poppytalk. It's a fab Canadian design blog that actively promotes Canadian art and design (as well as international design). Lots of great links.
