Just looking at these stunning Flickr photos of Marrakesh by only alice, an Edinburgh-based photographer, suffuses a gloomy Monday with warmth, colour and sunshine. Many more Marrakesh photos here, too.
I especially love your last pick. I am soothed by the blue-greens in it. Have you noticed that it looks lovely next to the Paintings by Proust book? Thank you for leading us to her photo stream!
One of my very favorite places/cuisines/etc & the N. African (Morocco over to Libya) influences on Southern Italy & Sicily always surprises me, no matter how many times I've been. Even looking at my dumb personal photos, I'm surprised.
Recently looked through an old "scrapbook" (big sketch pad with glued-in magazine clips, postcards, little empty sugar packets, old pieces of fabric, etc)& it's full of patterns/colors mirroring those in your post.
I'm inspired to make some mint tea, & pull out spices for tonight's dinner. Off to look for snowdrops (not to pick, just to look) in the afternoon, so what a contrast!
By day (or, depending on the deadline, by night) I'm a Canadian collage illustrator. Since 2006, the automatism blog is where I share whatever I find inspiring, interesting, or simply beautiful in interiors, design, art, illustration and other creative fields.

Good eye, Liza — you're absolutely right!

You're so welcome, Leigh! Aren't they lovely?
