24 Days of Noël

An elegant alternative to the usual Christmas tree (nice as a traditional tree always is) — silvery branches in a sculptural vase, with delicate glass ornaments. A good option for those without the space for a full-size tree, too. Image from my stack of vintage Marie Claire Maison magazines.

British Classicism

The Royal Mail will be issuing a set of first class stamps in January 2009 that will commemorate ten icons of British design. Featuring such classics as the Mini, Penguin Books and the red telephone booth, it'll make a plain white envelope instantly fantastic. Via the Creative Review blog.
