I've just been blown away by fashion illustrator Stina Persson's stunning work. Based in Stockholm, Stina works in a variety of mediums - watercolour, cut paper, ink, acrylic, and collage - for an editorial and corporate clientele. Run and have a look at her portfolio here. Shown above is an illustration by Stina that encorporates a photograph by Fabiola Zamora. Via things magazine.
More lovely work from Sweden -- this time, by photographer Per Magnus Persson. Persson decided on a career in photography at the age of 12 after seeing a photo by the legendary Henri Carter Bresson. "...(T)he calmness in the picture fascinated me," he says. He went on to work as Irving Penn's assistant in New York while freelancing on the side for Swedish magazines, eventually establishing his own studio. These days he works for magazines and advertising agencies all over the world. Have a look at his beautiful work here. Via Purple Area.
