Winter White

Cool winter white in a rather severely minimalist home designed by Anouska Hempel. It's funny, but though I have a high tolerance for all-white and empty spaces, for some reason I find myself craving a bit more colour or texture with this one. Maybe it's because the floor feels indeterminate to me — not white, but not exactly something else, either. I can't put my finger on it. What do you think? From Bolig Magazine, via the great blog roseland green.

I agree - though I love how prominent the artwork is in the top image, against the stark white. It's definitely the one the feels the most inviting to me.

Hempel's stuff always strikes me as too severe as well, although I suspect it feels quite different if you are actually THERE, as opposed to empty pictures.

Thanks for the link!
