Still: Oceanscapes by photographer Debra Bloomfield is the stunning result of seven years spent photographing a single lonely stretch of beach, observing its every mood from dawn to dusk. In the introduction to her book, a collection of 60 photographs from her beach project, Bloomfield writes that Still is "... about contemplation in an over-stimulated, over-technified world." I'm pretty sure I need to get a copy of this gorgeous book. Still is published by Chronicle Books.

beautiful... I need a copy too! Thank you.
Amazing. Especially the stormy image.
wow, i'd love to get a huge (HUGE) print of one of these for my wall (if I had a huge wall, that is)
wow. stunning. would be so great to frame these.
These are beautiful, they evoke a sense of stillness and solitude but in a good way.
that dark and stormy image is so wonderfully haunting. thanks for sharing!
Wow, those are simply stunning. They remind me a lot of Richard Misrach's work, specifically 'The Sky Book'. We were lucky enough to have a copy in our library at art school and I'd spend hours every week looking at it.
