





This weekend I happened to catch the 2006 film Lucky Number Slevin, and I have to say I was struck more by the set design -- particularly the audacious use of wallpaper -- then by the twistings of the plot line. But the movie inspired me to look beyond my usual (rather minimalist) tastes and have a look at boldly patterned walls in contemporary interiors.
