The NO!SPEC website describes itself as ". . . a vehicle to unite those who support the notion that spec work devalues the potential of design and ultimately does a disservice to the client." Lots of convincing arguments for not taking on spec work in hopes of eventual paid work (which, in common with the creatives sharing their spec experiences on this website, has never happened for me).
